Dennis Ray Langehennig Sr.'s Obituary
We are sad to announce the passing of Dennis Ray Langehennig Sr of Brenham, Texas.
Dennis passed away at the age of 79 on April 13th, 2026 peacefully in his sleep.
Dennis was born on March 24th, 1947 in Lampasas, Texas and was a strong man who had a great love for his family and friends. Dennis met the love of his life, Tolanda “Toni” Applegate in 1976. Their marriage lasted 46 years. They moved to Brenham, Texas in 2020 and he loved watching his deer cross their property every morning and evening. Together they had 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Toni; his father Fred Robert Langehennig; his mother Felicie Millard; his brother William “Willie” Louis Langehennig, his sisters Dorothy Laverne Hawley, Maedelle Price, and Lydia Ellen Wochnik.
His family and close friends meant everything to him. He is survived by his son Lance Eric Langehennig; his son and daughter-in-law Dennis Ray II and Katie Langehennig; his step-son and daughter-in-law Philip Martin and Susan Holmes; his grandchildren Hunter Lane Holmes, Caellen Joseph Holmes, William Martin Langehennig, Kendall Whitney Langehennig; his brother Fred Roger Langehennig; his sisters Shirley Ann Burns, Billie Jo Lueck, Linda Gayle Langehennig, and Iris Faye Dodge; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dennis’s services will be held at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas. The services are as follows:
Saturday April 18, 2024
11:00am - Family Visitation
12:00pm - Visitation and Catholic Rosary
1:00pm - Memorial Service
2:00pm - Committal Service at South Park Cemetery (across from the funeral home)
3:30pm - Casual Reception at Kelley's Country Cookin' (1100 North Bypass (Hwy 35), Alvin, Texas 77511)
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be provided to Mary Queen Catholic Church Food Pantry (606 Cedarwood Dr, Friendswood, TX 77546) or to your local food pantry
