OBITUARY FOR DENNIS ALAN KING
Dennis Alan King passed away in the evening of February 15, 2022, at the VA Hospital at the age of 78.
He was a native Houstonian who graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1963.
Dennis was an Army veteran and served in Korea.
His career was spent in the telecommunications and floral industries.
Throughout his life he was a faithful member of various churches in the East End , most recently of the Victory Family Church.
Dennis was a kind, gentle and generous soul.
He greeted everyone with a smile and a twinkle in his eye.
Dennis had the grace to see the best in every human because he believed than everyone was worthy of God’s love.
He lived his life giving that love and respect to all he knew.
Although Dennis was a man of simple means, he gave what he could to the church and many charitable foundations.
He rarely failed to send a Thank You card or Birthday note, always written on the stationery from one of these charities.
He gave money to homeless people and those begging on the street.
But everyone who knew Dennis would tell you that he was a man who loved the Lord, Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible above all things.
Dennis is predeceased by his mother Florence Wells King, his father Lloyd F King, his sister Doris King Davis and his brother Dwight E. King.
He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.
