Ms. Denise Ann Benson's Obituary
Ms. Denise Ann Benson, 62, was born on March 12, 1953 in Houston, Texas to Joseph and Dolores Weiskopf and passed away on February 9, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Seabrook, Texas.
Denise was the oldest of eight children. She had a love for all animals, including rescuing any stray that she happened to come across and help find them a home. She was an avid movie watcher and loved to watch Last of the Mohicans.
Denise was an honest, caring and giving person. She always put others before herself. She was an avid supporter of the Star of Hope and would take her children and grandchildren with her to volunteer. She loved reading books about history and Greek Mythology and was a true believer that everyone should get a proper education and she instilled that in her children and grandchildren. Denise loved trying new foods and also new restaurants but was not a fan of fast food.
Denise is survived by her two loving daughters: Rochelle Denise Rusche and husband Joel Rusche, Amber Heather Salinas and husband Albert Salinas; four grandchildren: Ambria Nicole Rusche, Riley Denise Bailey, Tate Ryon Bailey and Ashlyn Louise Salinas; as well as a host of family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service for Denise Ann Benson will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 10:00 am at Gateway Community Church, 760 Clear Lake City Boulevard, Webster, Texas 77598.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Denise’s honor to the MD Anderson LUNG Cancer Research.
