Dara Kay Gonzales' Obituary
Dara Kay Gonzales entered the loving arms of Our Lord on March 31, 2021 at the age of 51.
Dara was born in Pasadena, Texas to Jerry Lou Mann and Robert Lynn Poindexter. She graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1988. Dara worked at the Pasadena Police Department for 15 years.
Dara dedicated her life to being a loving mom and grandma. She was very proud of her daughters and enjoyed family gatherings. She was a girl scout troop leader for 10 years, and enjoyed sharing her love for reading with her grandson Logan Gonzales. She loved to craft, read books, and spend time with her dog Toby Jack.
Dara is preceded in death by her parents Jerry Lou Mann and Robert Lynn Poindexter, and brother Darrell Bell.
Dara leaves to cherish her memories Katie and Elizabeth Gonzales, grandson Logan Gonzales, family, and friends.
The Gonzales family will be receiving friends and family on Friday, April 9, 2021 for a visitation from 9:00A.M. -10:00A.M. at South Park Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 10:00A.M. on Friday, April 9, 2021 for anyone that would like to join the family. For those unable to attend the funeral service, the funeral service will be LIVESTREAM via the obituary online.
