On The Dock
I cherish these times at the end of the day,
When the world is in harmony,
like the boats on the bay.
I look at the sky meeting the water’s edge,
And watch as the sun slides over the earth’s ledge.
The cry of a seagull, the sound of a horn,
Soon bring me back to where I sit on the dock so worn.
The time alone I spend on the dock,
Helps me remember the important things and take stock
In all of the gifts in my lift
And lets me know I’ll be alright
despite the stress and the strife.
