Coyolyn Coltharp White's Obituary
On March 13, 2021, Coyolyn Coltharp White, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord at the age of 86.
Coyolyn was born on June 15, 1934 in Haynesville, LA to Coy and Pauline Coltharp. As a teenager she moved to Orange, TX where she later met the love of her life, Clarence White. Coyolyn & Clarence married on September, 2 1956 and moved to Houston, then later settled in Friendswood. She worked as a church secretary for many years, first at First Baptist Church, Orange, Tx, South Main Baptist Church, Houston, then at Friendswood United Methodist Church. Later, she went on to work for the Transportation Department and drive a bus for Friendswood ISD for 18 years—a job that her compassion and love of Friendswood was well suited for. Upon retirement Coyolyn enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling in her motorhome, reading, and gardening.
Coyolyn was preceded in death by her Father, Coy (1989) and her mother Pauline (2008). She is survived by her loving husband, Clarence, her sister and brother-in-law Jessie and Gary Short, her children and their spouses Scarlett and Eddie Weilacher, and Coy and Katie White, as well as her grandchildren Logan and her husband Aaron Anderson, Paul Weilacher and his wife Yoselin De Paz, Cydney White, Phillip Weilacher, Coy White, Kyle White, and her great-grandsons Paul Weilacher and Andy Anderson.
Viewing will begin at 10 AM. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM with burial immediately following on Sunday, March 21 at South Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1310 North Main Street, Pearland, TX.
