C.B. was born in Baytown, TX on October 31, 1929. He attended grade school in League City, Anahuac, and graduated from Dickinson High School in 1948. He joined the US Navy serving two years and reenlisted in the US Air Force in July, 1951. His tour of duty took him to Germany where he fell in love with German music. He would often play the organ and accordion by ear. C.B. had been stationed at many bases across the United States including Wyoming, California, Maryland, and Mississippi. He was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS when he retired from the USAF on January 1, 1970 with more than 20 years of dedicated, honorable service to his country. After his retirement from the USAF, he moved to Manvel, Texas, and began his tenure as the Director of Maintenance for the Texas Medical Center, until 1996 when he retired. He was a member of First Baptist Church Pearland where he received "Christian Man of the Year" award in 2002. Enjoying life to its fullest, he began traveling around the United States in his RV, where for many summers he would head north to get away from the Texas heat with his family. When C.B. was not traveling, he was busy in his woodshop building and fabricating fine furniture and fixtures for his family and friends. He was a perfectionist and took great pride in his work. His passion was to build theatrical props for Christian plays and he loved serving God with his woodworking talent. C.B. always looked forward to socializing with his friend's from local church groups where they could gather and play card games. He was also known for being an excellent chef in the kitchen; he loved surprising his family and friends with many of his favorite dishes. He deeply loved his family and enjoyed having get-togethers especially during the holidays. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart; he loved them all so much. His family and loved ones now pass his care and love to our Heavenly Father and Savior knowing he is no longer suffering and is now in His capable hands.
