Corina Canizales' Obituary
Corina Canizales, age 52, passed away peacefully on January 16,2021
She was born November 28,1968 in Houston, Texas to a Baptist minister named Jose Luis Castillo and his beloved wife Hilda Castillo.
Corina was one of four beautiful daughters, and one son. The devout family lived in Houston, TX.
Corina graduated from McArthur High School in 1987, and then graduated from the University of Houston in 2008 with an Early Childhood Education degree.
She married the love of her life Ruben Canizales on November 23,1991. They made their home in Houston, TX.
Corina used her Early Childhood Education degree and became a teacher. She loved being a schoolteacher because she loved to make a difference and inspire her students. Corina prayed for each child as if that child was her own.
Her life was living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32- "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgive one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."
Corina is survived by Ruben Canizales Jr.(husband), Joe Castillo(father), Hilda Castillo(mother), Maurilia Castillo(grandmother), Lisa Hernandez(sister), Sonia Gonzales (sister) , Elma Castillo(sister), Jon Castillo(brother), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces who, she loved.
Let us Honor Corina in a special way. Evey year, take time to understand, donate and share awareness concerning the following charities that were dear to her heart.
Congenital Heart Disease (CHD)
CHD awareness week is observed each year during February 7th-14th 2021
CHD's are conditions that are presented at birth and can affect the structure of a baby's heart and the way it works. Corina was one of those baby's and throughout her life she faced the struggles that came with the disease.
Go Red for Women- National Wear Red Day- February 5th 2021
Go red and help raise awareness for women's heart health .Wear RED and give - spread the word for awareness.
