Mr. Conrad Anthony Crump's Obituary
Conrad Crump was born in Houston, Texas on August 10, 1957, to William and Gladys Crump. During his early years, he lived a well-rounded life under the watchful eyes of his loving grandmother. Once school age, he joined his family in Houston, Texas and attended Grimes Elementary School and Albert Thomas Middle School. Shortly after completing 4 years at Ross S. Sterling High School, Conrad choose to enlist in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He proudly served our country for a short while before returning to civilian life.
Conrad worked several jobs over the next few years before the untimely accident which paralyzed him. But this did not stop him! Not only did he have many ideas (some he turned into a profitable business), he also penned and self-published his first book entitled “Faith”.
Known for his contagious laughter and love of family, Conrad frequently answered to “Father, Uncle, Daddy” no matter who you were. Many of his nieces, nephews, neighbors, friends, friends of friends considered him more than just Conrad. He was their confidante, sounding block, their “go to person in the time of need”! He was the late-night call you could make and expect an answer. Well versed on life, He gave tough love and solid advice.
It is with great sadness that the family of Conrad Crump announces his passing on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the age of 60 years.
