Colson Brant McVay's Obituary
Colson Brant McVay (aka “Golson”)
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Colson Brant McVay, affectionately known as “Golson.” Colson left this world on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at just 14 years old.
Born on Friday, April 8, 2011, in Houston, Texas, Colson brought immeasurable joy, laughter, and love into our lives from the very beginning. He was a bright and vibrant soul, known for his goofy personality, contagious laugh, endless curiosity, and a heart bigger than anyone we’ve ever known.
Colson had just completed the 8th grade, where he was dearly loved and admired by both his teachers and classmates. His passions were many—he especially loved fishing, sports, playing video games, spending time with his family, and eating! Colson absolutely loved food and trying new things. He approached meals and snacks with the same excitement and enthusiasm that he brought to life.
He is survived by his parents, Gregory McVay and Paula Williams, and his three brothers: Bryce McVay, Tyler McVay, and Garrett McVay. He also leaves behind his loving grandparents, Gerald & Linda McVay and Sandy Williams; uncles Mike D. and Roger; aunts Jo, Lottie, and Lea; cousins Jordyn and Corban; and four precious nephews whom he absolutely adored: Gavin, Liam, Gray, and Graham. Colson also leaves behind countless other family members and friends, all of whom will forever hold his memory close in their hearts.
We are so grateful to have experienced his beautiful spirit and his unforgettable goofiness—it brought so much joy to our lives.
