Clyde Joseph Prevost's Obituary
Clyde Joseph “Joe” Prevost passed away October 9, 2021 at the age of 68. He was a long-time resident of Alvin, Texas and a 1971 graduate of Alvin High School. He was born January 20, 1953 to Clyde and Betty Prevost and was the oldest of eight children. He is preceded in death by his father Clyde S. Prevost. He is survived by his mother Betty Prevost-Shook, brothers Curtis (Rachel) Prevost, Thomas (Gay) Prevost, James Prevost and sisters Dorothy (Mark) Burke, Rose (Gene) Baker, Elizabeth Prevost, and Mary Sue (Ron) Lewis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Joe loved to sing and play the organ and was in the choir at High School and at church. He truly had a servant’s heart and was passionate to serve the Lord and the church. He was a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus and a member of the council for over 45 years. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and nephew and will be dearly missed by us all.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank Angel Roberts and all the caregivers that took such wonderful care of Joe these last few years. Joe thought of each and every one of you as family and we are all appreciative of the love and care so generously given to him. A special thanks to Harbor Hospice for the added love and comfort provided at his passing.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manvel, Texas on October 19th at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas at 2:00 for anyone who would like to attend. There will be a visitation on October 18th from 6:00 – 7:00 pm and Rosary from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas.
