Claude “Sonny” Edward Wiener passed away on January 31, 2026, at the age of 79. He was born on December 6, 1946, in Houston, Texas.
Sonny is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Patsy Johnson Wiener; his children, Traci Wiener, Jeremy Wiener, and Roxan Wiener; his siblings, Garland and Leah Wiener, and Gaye and Blake Johnston; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sonny was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served his country in Korea during the Vietnam War era. He enjoyed playing golf, attending Houston Astros baseball games, and watching the Texans on television. One thing many didn’t know about Sonny was his fondness for watching Donald Duck, a simple joy that always brought a smile. He took great joy in loving the Lord and serving his church community. A devoted member, Sonny frequently volunteered and was always happy to serve coffee and refreshments in his Sunday morning class. His faith, kindness, and willingness to serve others were central to his life.
Sonny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
