Clarence Noel "Bob" Mitcham's Obituary
Clarence Noel “Bob” Mitcham, 85, of Rosharon, Texas passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 19th, 2019. He was born January 9th, 1934 to Lonnie Carl Mitcham and Annie Lee Dampier Mitcham in Conroe, Texas. Mr. Mitcham was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Claudia Mae Mitcham; parents, Lonnie Carl Mitcham and Annie Lee Dampier Mitcham; son, Mikeal Kirk Mitcham; brothers, Herman and Carl Mitcham; and beloved dog Tatertot.
He is survived by his brother Terry Mitcham. He is also survived by his children, Deena Hoop and her husband Elbert Jr., Lanieca Perdue and her husband Gary, David Mitcham and his wife Jamie; grandchildren, Tammy Paynter, Ronda Biondillo, Jessica Harris, Brandon Perdue, Preston Mitcham, Parker Mitcham, and Kayla Townsend; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Paynter, Michael Paynter, David Biondillo, Kira Smith, Kallen Weeks, Hally Harris, and Bella Harris.
Clarence served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a proud veteran and would gladly share stories of his time in Alaska.
Clarence was a machinist by trade and was proud that both sons decided to be machinists also. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping in the desert in his younger years. He loved gardening and taking care of his yard. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 24th, 2019 at 12:00 PM with a graveside service to begin at 2:00 PM. The services will be at South Park funeral home at 1310 N. Main Street Pearland, Texas 77581. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the National Alzheimer’s Foundation or the charity of your choice.
