Mrs. Cindy Lou Brown's Obituary
Cindy L. Brown went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 19, 2008 after a two year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Cindy was a delightful, beautiful and wonderful wife, daughter, sister and friend. Her genuine smile, sweet disposition and interest in relationships made many who knew her think they were her 'best' friend. Cindy was born on December 1, 1971 in Hagerstown, Maryland to Dora May and William Peck. She lived much of her life in Friendswood, Texas. She graduated from Friendswood High School in 1990. She earned bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Houston, Clear Lake in 1994 and 2001 respectively. She was married on September 24, 2005 to Christopher Brown. Cindy is survived by her husband and her mother, her brother-in-law and sister Scott and Amy Smith of Conroe, Texas and their son, her nephew, William Smith. Cindy worked at several companies in her career, most recently at Protiviti and Service Corporation International in Houston, Texas. She also was an real estate agent for Mark Speets Properties. She was a member of the Junior League of Houston and enjoyed serving at Sheltering Arms Senior Services and the Salvation Army. Cindy attended Second Baptist Church of Houston and was a member of Houston's First Baptist Church and enjoyed serving in several capacities through her churches as well.
