Mr. Charles Vinton Washmon's Obituary
Charles Vinton Washmon, 84, passed away on March 13, 2010. He was born July 9, 1925 in Hitchcock, TX to Joseph George, Sr. and Susan Clara Washmon. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Beverly Washmon; daughter and son-in-law Becky and Douglas Neel; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas Eugene and James Vernon; sister-in-law; nieces, nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; father and mother; brothers, Jay and Don; sisters, Clara Jo and Marie. Charles retired from Shell Refinery after 38 years of service, served in the Marines and loved to fish and play golf. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 16th from 5-8 PM at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, March 17th at 12:30 PM at SouthPark Cemetery.
