Charles Larry Warden's Obituary
Charles Larry Warden, age 88, of Houston TX passed away at his home June 24th, 2023 surrounded by family.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday June 29th, 2023 at South Park Funeral Home at 1310 N. Main St. Pearland TX 77581. Visitation will be held from 8:30 am until 9:30 am for immediate family only. Friends, family, and loved ones at 10:00 am. Closed casket at South Park Chapel Burial will follow the funeral at South Park Cemetery around 11:00 am.
Larry was born in Houston on October 19th, 1934 at Jefferson Davis Hospital. Larry went to 12th grade and then joined the Navy July 8th, 1953 and discharged on June 27th, 1957. He was a cadet engineer. While in the Navy he earned his GED.
Larry was married to Deborah K. Yasso June 1st 1976: married 46 blissful years.
Larry worked as a switchman for Houston Belt and Terminal, which was bought out by Union Pacific Railroad, for 38 years. Retiring at age 62.
He enjoyed hunting, gambling, fishing, collecting cars and collecting old coins. Enjoying life, family, and friends.
Larry is survived by wife Deborah Warden. Daughters: Vivian and spouse Tim. Cathy, Sheila, Sharon, Tiffany and son Brian. 7 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 11 greatgrands and 1 on the way. 1 sister Edna Slaughter.
Preceded by Father and Mother Leonard and Addie Pearl. Brother Edwin Earl.
