Mr. Charles Clark Rickman's Obituary
Charles Clark Rickman, 80, of Pearland, Texas, passed away on October 6, 2018 at home in Pearland, Texas. Charles Rickman was born in Greenville, Texas in Hunt County to Clark L. Rickman and Dorothy O. Fletcher on June 13, 1938. Charles married his beloved wife Patsy Ann Rickman of 58 years on September 12, 1960 during a quaint ceremony in his parents’ home in Memphis, Texas. He grew up in North Texas and picked Cotton as a young man and then spent 30 years crossing the country as a dedicated truck driver. He spent many of those years working for Big Mac Trucking and followed that career as a dispatcher for 15 years. There wasn’t a road or shortcut that he didn’t know about having spent years on the road traveling across the country. He was a devoted husband, a loving father to five boys and a wonderful grandpa to many grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Charles loved sports especially the Astros whom he cheered on to victory in the world series last year. He also enjoyed watching his favorite football team the Houston Texans. Charles Clark Rickman was preceded in death by his father Clark L. Rickman, mother Dorothy O. Fletcher, wife Patsy Ann Rickman, Sons: Ronald Rickman, David Rickman, and Jerry Rickman as well as his granddaughter Autumn Rickman. Charles is survived by his sons: Charles L. Rickman Sr. and wife Lisa of LaPorte, Texas, Billy D. Rickman, Sr. and wife Mary of Pearland, Texas, brother Cecil Rickman of Wichita Falls, Tx and daughters-in-laws Marlene Rickman of Santa Fe, Tx and Katharine Rickman of Arkansas. Twenty-five Grandchildren, Thirty Great Grandchildren and Two Great-Great Grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Charles L. Rickman Sr., Billy D. Rickman, Sr, Charles Rickman, Jr., Billy Rickman, Jr., Jacobb Margenau and Cole Holbrook.
