Obituary for Mr. Charles “Chuck” E. Largent
Charles “Chuck” E. Largent went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2016. He was 83 years of age, born in Lufkin, Texas on March 16, 1933 to Otha and Geneva Largent. He was proud to grow up in Lufkin and graduate from Lufkin High School. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1953 where he served as a Military Policeman. Chuck was also a graduate of the University of Texas where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Chuck ran his research and laboratory supplies business, CEL Associates Inc., for over 40 years where he sold his product to universities, research labs and biotech companies all over the world. His post-retirement business/hobby was artwork and framing where he made many friends.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jo, of Pearland, TX, his daughter Sara and her husband Michael Orlando, and grandchildren Luke, Jacob and Sadie. He also leaves behind his brother Phillip Largent and his wife, Rose Ann, brother and sister in laws, Doug and Carol Matthews, Jack and Sara Dahlen, and brother in law, Bill Arnold, along with nieces Phyllis Ann Roberts, DeDe Largent, Leigh Ann Faour, and Dana Dahlen.
The memorial service honoring Chuck’s life will be held Thursday, March 31 at eleven o’clock in the morning at First United Methodist Church Pearland, 2314 N. Grand Blvd, Pearland, TX 77581. The service will be conducted with the care of South Park Funeral Home.
