Ceazar Gaton Tigtig's Obituary
Our beloved father “Papa” Ceazar Gaton Tigtig passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2024
at the age of 79.
Born in Iloilo, Philippines on July 4, 1944. Ceazar was one of six children. He was preceded in
death by his parents Eusebio and Asuncion Tigtig, and oldest sister, Aniceta Gaton Tigtig. He is
survived by his siblings Belen Camit, Douglas Tigtig, Eusebio Jr Tigtig, and Fe Mamon.
Ceazar began his career as Ship Chief Engineer in the Philippines. He moved his family to the United States, where he
worked as a mechanic for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed working in his shed building, fixing, inventing
various contraptions such as his version of a kitchen tool. Unfortunately, the pass time working in his shed ended due to
his health. He spent his free time watching various sports especially basketball, Western movies, and of course Filipino
dramas and movies. Ceazar was there to help relatives and friends with various household projects and maintenance on
their cars.
He leaves behind his wife Enriqueta Tigtig of 49 years, daughter Maricel Tigtig Knapczyk and her husband Ken Knapczyk,
grandson Hunter Tigtig Knapczyk and granddaughter Cooper Tigtig Knapczyk. In addition, many loving nieces, nephews
and extended family. Ceazar was a loving father “Papa”, husband, grandfather “Lolo” and friend to everyone.
A special thank you to the people at Hermann Memorial Pearland and Hermann Memorial Medical Center, and Houston
Hospice for their loving care and support during his final days. In addition, family would like to extend their appreciation
and gratitude towards South Park Funeral Home and Cemetery for their patience and understanding during this difficult
time.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at South Park Funeral Home and Cemetery 1310 N Main St, Pearland, TX
77581 on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
Funeral Services will be at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Community on Friday, June 21, 2024 located 6502 County Rd
48, Manvel, TX 77578 at 1 PM
