Mrs. Carolyn Mayfield's Obituary
Carolyn F Monrad Mayfield was born @ home in Almeda,Texas in 1924. She also passed away in her home on the same property which is now Houston. Dad (Darrell) would ride his bike to where mother lived (Anderson Rd) and thus her life as a farm girl milking cows, changed when she married Darrell. Mother took a train accompanied by an aunt to California and married my Dad. They were together for 72 years. Mother loved family, friends, and flowers. She delighted in colors and her dress often reflected that. She drove a white Subaru Outback and watch out when Sister Caroline was on the road. She was "born to shop" and loved meeting people. She had the most beautiful white hair, done to perfection, sparkling blue eyes and could still put her lip stick on without looking, at age 90! She set an example by finding good in everyone. Mother died very peacefully and had wonderful caregivers as well as Houston Hospice. "Sister Caroline " has left on her "trip to Bountiful where Dad, family, and friends, welcome her with love. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Mach 1, 2017 at 12:30 PM at SouthPark Funeral Home, Visitation will start 1 hour prior to services. 1310 N. Main St. Pearland, TX. 77581
