Carolyn K Fields' Obituary
Carolyn K Fields, 4/2/1938 - 11/9/2022, born to Friend and Clarice Kenyon in Houston. Carolyn grew up in the Garden Villas subdivision, surrounded by a close group of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1956, and Sam Houston State University in 1960. She was married to husband Jimmy from 1960 until his death in 2016. (56 years)
She was a school teacher in HISD for several years, took a break to raise her family then later, taught at St. Pius V in Pasadena and St. Christopher's in SE Houston until her retirement.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Jimmy Fields, Sr., infant brother Donald, brother Norman Kenyon. Survived by sons, Jimmy and David Fields (Mike Fravel), grandson, Jeremy (Taylor) and great grandson, Daxton, and brother Captain (Judy), as well as a host of cousins and many friends. Special mention to "Miss Michelle" Vaughn (and family) for her best friend for almost 50 years, and the Pasadena Dinner Group with whom she joined for monthly dinners over the past several years until her declining health made it difficult to get around.
She was an animal lover, a quilter, a Jeopardy and General Hospital addict and loved traveling, especially to Ruidoso, NM where she and Dad would spend 6 months of the year at Twin Spruce Campground for many years. But mostly, she loved her family.
