Mrs. Carol Elizabeth Trotter's Obituary
Carol Elizabeth, (May), Trotter, 77, died on Friday, April 7 in Houston, Texas after a brief battle with cancer. Carol was a strong and caring woman, as well as a devoted sister and dog lover. For over 30 years, Carol, a registered nurse, cared for others in Houston Hospitals and nursing homes; and in her retirement, she took her therapy dog, Brandi, to visit residents of many Pearland, TX nursing homes.
Carol is survived by her 3 loving siblings, Clayton May (Ann) of Houston, TX., Les May (Laurie) of Naperville, IL, and Connie LaRocco (Mike) of Fishers, IN.; 4 nieces, Katie Bell, Shelley Hutchison, Erin Latawiec, and Bonnie May; 1 nephew, Eric LaRocco; and 5 grand nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her father, Charles May; her mother, Martha Stehle May; her husband, John Trotter; and her best friend, Edna Faye Campbell.
Carol was an active member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, where she served as an usher and participated in a weekly Bible study.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Houston Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
Visitation will be held on April 13 at 10:00AM and a memorial service will follow at 11:00AM at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, 12955 Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77079.
