Carol Lee McMahon Long's Obituary
Carol Lee McMahon (Suarez) Long died on Thursday, the 21st of March 2024. She was 77 years of age. She was born on the 18th day of January 1947 in Houston and was a proud 4th generation Houstonian. In 1954, on most weekends and every summer you could find her, her parents and sister at their bay home in San Leon and/or Sargent. She attended Jesse H Jones High School and graduated in 1965. She was the administrative assistant to three Deans and the President at San Jacinto College South Campus. In 2011, she retired from the college after 20 years. She loved to cook, share recipes and travel. Family was the most important thing in her life. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents Barney Lee McMahon and Evelyn Augusta (Klopp) McMahon; her sister: Janis Lynn (McMahon) Watson and husband Eric.
She is survived by her greatest accomplishments her daughter: Lisa Renee (Suarez) Nichol and husband Calvin; her son: Bryan Thomas McMahon Suarez and wife Sandra; and the joys of her life, her four grandsons: Calvin “Chase” Nichol, Cameron Pace Nichol, Ian Thomas Suarez and Tyler Ryan Suarez. She is also survived by her niece: Katherine Watson; nephew: Joshua Watson and wife Jaime; great niece: Aria Eve Watson and great nephew: Elijah Ford. Other survivors include many cousins, which she adored.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, the 29th of March from 5:00-8:00PM. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, the 30th of March at 2:00PM with cemetery burial at 3:00PM at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N Main St, Pearland TX 77581.
Carol will be buried next to her parents at South Park Cemetery.
