Mrs. Carol Jean Jenkins' Obituary
Carol passed Wednesday afternoon April 19th at the age of 80 years old. She was born in Alton, Illinois on June 7, 1936. She is preceded in death by: her husband William Jenkins, her parents Zelma Marie O’Brien and Ray Lee O’Brien, her brother Gary O’Brien and Sister-In-Law Pat O’Brien. She is survived by her daughter Brenda Jenkins, Son William Jenkins and wife Lisa, Daughter Karen Jenkins, Son David Jenkins and Girlfriend Wesley Lopez. Two grandchildren Randy Alaminsky and Staci Davila, three great-grandchildren Seth, Madison and Isabelle, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Carol & William were married in 1954 and shared 40 years of marriage and the birth of 4 children. Carol enjoyed going out to dinner and going to plays with her Red Hat friends. She also enjoyed taking family vacations with her husband, children and Jimmy & Jeannie Jenkins. Carol was much more than a care taker and found comfort in providing for others. She worked as Director of Mother’s Day Out at Cokesbury Methodist Church for over 10 years. Prior to that she worked at J.C. Penney.
Carol’s strong Methodist faith and beliefs were a big part of the woman that she was. Her sense of humor and fun loving ways made her easy to love and fun to be with. She had a way of making you laugh because she was funny when she wasn’t trying to be funny. She will be greatly missed!
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Southpark Funeral Home 1310 North Main St. Pearland, Texas 77581. Funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM with burial at Southpark Cemetery.
