Carol Rhodes Gamblin's Obituary
Carol Rhodes Gamblin, nee Bremer, passed away on December 20th, 2017 at the age of 54 after a long battle with illness, on a day where she was surrounded by her family. Born on September 1st, 1963 Carol is survived by her husband, and two daughters, as well as her brother and her sister and her mother. Carol was born and raised in Houston, TX and attended Lanier MS and Bellaire HS before she attended Brown University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After college, she returned to Houston and married her high school sweetheart. She worked for the Houston Human Health and Services department, serving the public, before settling down and building a home for her two dear daughters and her husband. She had a lifelong love of animals, and volunteered at local Veterinary Clinics and at the Houston Zoo, with the primates. She became ill within the last few years, and used every ounce of her will to fight and get better. Her public wake will be held on December 28th, 2017 followed by a private funeral the next day. Carol's strength will always be remembered.
