Carmen Corina Gonzalez, of Mathis, TX, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 72, on Monday, June 15, 2026.
Carmen was born on July 16, 1953, in Mathis, Texas, to Ernesto Rodriguez and Manuela Rosenbaum. Carmen is the 7th of 9 siblings, Timothy “Timo” Rodriguez, Jose Ernesto “Rey” Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez, Arnulfo “Chore” Rodriguez, Maria Antonia “Tonia” Acuna, Juanita “Juana” Rodriguez, Frank “Pancho” Rodriguez, Hilda Rodriguez, and Laura Luna. Carmen married Arnulfo Gonzalez on February 12, 1969.
Carmen is survived by her husband, Arnulfo Gonzalez, her 4 children, Arnulfo “Arnold” Gonzalez, Silvano “Chivo” Gonzalez, Marcos Gonzalez, and Monica Corina Gonzalez, and 11 grandchildren, Reyes“Wedo” Zarate, Theresa Zarate, Elise Gonzalez, Monica Lynn Gonzalez, Silvano “Nano” Gonzalez, Abel Jesus “Samuel” Gonzalez, Zachary Urrabazo, Daquiri Urrabazo, Austin Gonzalez, Noah Copeland, and Corina Copeland, and 3 siblings, Timothy “Timo” Rodriguez, Marina Antonia “Tonia” Acuna, and Laura Luna.
Carmen enjoyed spending time with family and hearing about the Lord. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She will be forever loved and missed in our hearts, until time and times and are through. An open viewing will be held at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main, Pearland, Texas 77581 from 10-2pm followed by immediate burial at 2pm. Please send flowers to South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N.
