Carmen P Davalos' Obituary
Carmen P. Davalos was born on September 25th, 1924 in Port Arthur, Texas and went over the rainbow on August 16th, 2022. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School.
Carmen enjoyed bowling and was an avid gardener. Her home was mostly recognized by her unique red bridge. She also held ballroom dancing lessons for her family on Sundays. Her and her husband, Rudy, were also foster parents to twenty foster children over the years. Carmen’s biggest joy in life was to enjoy and support her family no matter how big or small the occasion was. She has been a resident of the South Belt area since 1968.
Carmen is preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Davalos, and her sons Ronald P. Davalos and Bobby C. Davalos.
She is survived by her daughter, Gina Wilcox (Bubba); her brother, Richard Pedraza(Connie); grandchildren Danette Locher, David Villareal, Angelique Garcia, Amber Mackechney and Lance Wilcox; great-grandchildren Fabian Davalos, Blake Villareal, Dylan Hill, Jocelyn Garcia, Joey Garcia, Abigail Villareal, Olivia Villareal, Madison Mackechney, Blake Crisman and Maci Mackechney; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of life-long friends.
Visitation will be Thursday 8/25 at South Park Funeral Home at 5pm with Rosary starting at 6pm. Funeral mass will be Friday 8/26 at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church on Hall Road at 11am.
