In Loving Memory of Carmen BandaJuly 16, 1931 – June 24, 2025Carmen Banda, age 93, passed away peacefully on June 24, https://2025.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at South Park Funeral Home, located at 1310 N. Main St., Pearland, TX 77581. The family service will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by visitation at 12:30 PM. All arrangements are being lovingly handled by South Park Funeral Home. Carmen was born on July 16, 1931, in Houston, Texas. She was married to the love of her life, Jose Cruz Banda, a devoted husband who cherished her deeply throughout their life together. A dedicated homemaker, Carmen poured her heart into caring for her family. Her meals were not only delicious but legendary, because they were made with love and served with warmth. Her garden, much like Carmen herself, was vibrant, nurturing, and full of life. Carmen was the heart of her family. She is survived by her grown children, Patricia Aguilar, Linda DeLaCerda, Sylvia K. Cruz, Conrad R. Ybarra, John Banda, Mike Cruz, Mary Guillen, and Seferino DeLaCerda, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends. She touched every life she encountered with her love, joy, and generosity. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose Cruz Banda, her two sons, Joe W. Guillen and Joe Banda Jr., her daughter, Gloria Jeanette Arismendez, her great-grandson Christopher, her parents, siblings, and many other cherished loved ones. What a beautiful reunion must be awaiting her. On behalf of John Banda and the entire family, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone here today for honoring and celebrating the life of our beloved mother, Carmen. She was truly the light in all our lives—her love, care, laughter, and warmth will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Though this goodbye is hard, we take comfort in knowing her spirit lives on in each of us. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for being here. With love to you all.
