Mr. Carlos R. Martinez's Obituary
Carlos R. Martinez, 34, of Houston, passed away February 24, 2017. Carlos was born in Houston, Texas to Juan and Mary Norma Martinez on May 12, 1982. He graduated with honors from Robert E. Lee High School in Houston and was an avid sports enthusiast. Carlos was very passionate about his hometown. As a devout Houstonian, he took pride in the Houston Rockets and Houston Texans, win or lose. He loved his family and close friends so much, and did what he could for them all. Carlos had a heart and spirit showed that showed he was an all-around genuine person. If you had met Carlos, you would never forget him. Thank you so much to all the family and friends that helped us rejoice in his life.
Carlos is preceded in death by his father, Juan A. Martinez Sr. and grandmother Maria Leos-Prnka. Carlos is survived by his mother, Mary Norma Martinez of Houston; grandmother, Betty Gutierrez; brothers: Juan (Linda), Gabriel (Maria), Rene, and Joseph; his loving nephews and nieces: Karina, Juan III, David, Steven, Sal, Daniel, Gabriel, Stephanie, Rebecca, Annaliza, Olivia, and Yvonne as well as his beloved great-nephews and nieces Avery, Kara, Zaryn, and Marley.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Saturday, March 4 with a rosary service at 7:00pm. A funeral service will take place at 1:00pm, Sunday, March, 5, 2017, all to be held at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland. Interment to follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
