Mr. Carl E. Hicks' Obituary
Carl Hicks, 86, of Houston, Texas went to be with the Lord, peacefully, on Thursday, July 24, 2014. Born August 18, 1927 in Waters (Pine Ridge) Arkansas, the only surviving sibling of five children to John Hicks and Dewey Risenhoover Hicks. He married Anna May Skinner on August 10, 1951. Carl and Anna May lived in Houston and raised their family before they retired and moved to Pine Ridge, Arkansas. They returned to Houston in 2011. Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his parents; John and Dewey Hicks, brothers; Porter, J.D. and Jimmie Hicks, sisters; Edna and Opal Hicks, step-mother; Nettie Hicks, step-brother; Dale Maddox and step-sister; Mildred Maddox. He is survived his wife of 62 years Anna May Hicks, two sons; Lloyd Hicks and wife Sally of Deer Park, TX and John Hicks and wife Nancy of Kenefick, TX , two daughters; Joyce Thames and husband Glynn of League City, TX and Ruth Hicks of Houston, TX, step-sister; Johnnie Mae Wallace of Idabel, Oklahoma, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
