Carl Leon Ellis, age 74, of Friendswood, Texas passed away peacefully on January 14, 2021, surrounded by family, after a valiant 10 year battle with cancer. Carl was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to Read Obituary
So thankful for the quiet confidence that Carl displayed in life. I wish to express my thanks to Carl's family for sharing so much of his time with us in the ARCO / Lyondell Lab. You can be so proud of his work ethic and kindness.

I have many fond memories of My Brother in-Law Carl. One choice memory is when we served together serving as hosts for a youth trip to Nauvoo. Other enjoyable memories were going to Carl’s house to watch General Conference and having dinner afterwards. Carl and his Sister Sharon had this unique ability to talk like hillbillies when telling stories whenever family got together. Always laughed and enjoyed his conversation and spiritual insight. Carl will truly be missed.
Carl was just a wonderful person. Always sharing his insights and serving others. Perhaps the attributes I most admired were his work ethic and incredible love of education. He went to great lengths to insure that his family all received university educations and had every opportunity possible. He loved his family history as well and wouldn't hesitate to share his latest discoveries and discuss stories about his mother and brothers. He also loved the gospel and his pioneer heritage. His is an excellent example of a life well lived.
Carl was always so happy and friendly. We very much enjoyed our time with them in New York. We loved working with Carl & Nancy, it was a joy. We have many great memories of our time there with them. Our hearts go out to Nancy. With love, your Utah friends, Kent & Kae
