Bradley along with his brother got me into starwars trading card game. He taught me the rules showed me which cards were good and what strategies to use. When the families got together we would play Bradley and Missy against me and Issac. We would stack the decks and hide cards under the table and we would argue about the rules. I'm not sure we ever finished a game but that wasn't the point we had fun just playing.
I'll always cherish my memories with Bradley. I especially remember in our teenage years wanting to enter a salsa dancing competition at an upcoming gathering. Practicing for the competition was so much fun – we were both beginners, so we spent hours laughing and trying to perfect our turns and steps, even filming ourselves to see where we could improve. Although we didn't actually compete, we still had fun dancing at the gathering. I'm so grateful for those moments.
Another vivid memory is Bradley and Isaac patiently teaching Jesse and me the Star Wars card game. We'd spend hours at their house, immersed in the battles between the light and dark sides, debating the nuances of each card's instructions.
Even though life took us in different directions as we got older, I'll never forget the wonderful times we shared. Bradley's infectious smile and laugh will always stay with me.
I had the blessing of having Brad in a couple of the classes I taught while he went to San Jac. He was an amazing student to have and the way he built up and encouraged his classmates was awesome to see. He was one of those students that every teacher dreams to have.

In the quiet moments, we remember the warmth of your laughter, the light you brought into our lives, and the love that lingers. Though you may not be here in the physical, your spirit dances in the breeze, whispers in our hearts, and reminds us that your story lives on through us forever. When I hear a piano play I know your saying hello. I believe this is not good bye but simply see you later.

I never knew Bradley as " Brad", he was always Bradley to me. I remember many family memories of Bradley playing the piano and stirring up the parents to have all the cousins join in. He was so very talented! I even remember passing him in the highschool, and no one believing he was my cousin. That was always funny to me. I remember many camping trips with glow sticks and flash lights running through the pine trees.
While we may never know how much time we are destined to spend on Earth, time will not diminish your memory and impact on this world. We celebrate the impressions you made, the laughter you brought, the creativity you shared, and love you gave.
Your life on Earth has impacted so many and meant more to those than maybe you would have given yourself credit for. You will be missed dearly, but your essence is here for eternity.
One of the things I shared with my son Bradley is our love for reading. In high school I used to read the required reading with him so we could discuss the books together. We read “To kill a Mockingbird “ which I loved and he hated. I thought it was comical that there was a character in there named Boo Radley. Sounded like Bradley so I called him “Boo” for a while. Then we read “The old man and the Sea”. I hated that book and he absolutely loved it! We even read some Robert Frost together and he wrote some beautiful poems that he thought he hid from me. But I saw them and they were beautiful. He had a talent in all aspects of artistry and I will truly miss that adventure.
I have a hope, this hope that is really strong in me, that my God sees the person we are deep within, untouched by the turmoil and strife that shapes us in this stressed out world and he will resurrect us to a new world and heal us.

In my mind I see you as a teen boy with a beautiful smile, laughing with your cousins. That is the way I'll always remember sweet Bradley Jacob.
So, it must’ve been about circa 2003. I’m working at my very first job. I am sitting in a break-room, withdrawn and a bit downcast. The work carried a lot of responsibility for a first one and I was struggling to not feel overwhelmed. Suddenly a coworker comes in. He exclaims my name as if we’ve known each other for YEARS. “So rarely do we get to just sit and talk, you and I.” He says cheerfully as he plops himself in the seat in front of me. I glance up to see Brad Garcia smiling warmly. I was some what perplexed if not reassured. I had seen him prior but this was the first time I truly saw him. Perhaps it was the tone of his familiar greeting but I couldn’t help but wonder if indeed we’d become friends. It would be one of my most prophetic notions. Over the next 20 plus years his would grow to be my most closest friendship. At work many customers would insist on only dealing exclusively with him. As a natural introvert, the same would hold true for me. Brad was kind, giving, relatable, funny, and personable amongst other things. Through our friendship I flourished in ways I couldn’t have without. Such a rapport cannot be purchased at a store. It can’t be ordered online nor dispensed at a pharmacy. It can only be obtained by a chance meeting tempered by years of familiarity. Both his impact and absence will be felt most profoundly. He WILL be missed. Dearly.
Something we instilled in him was his love of nature. He got this from the many camping and hiking trips we took. He also enjoyed reading. On a Colorado trip, we went on a hike, but Brad stayed in the tent reading his book this time. His way of relaxing was reading a book in the surrounding quiet. I was impressed with his creativity in music and art. When we were hanging out at the H & H music store one day he sat down at a grand piano and began playing David Lanz “Wider Shade of Pale” and as he played he drew a crowd. Although he had a natural talent for music he loved art more and became a very talented artist. I will miss him .
