Binu Thomas' Obituary
Binu Thomas was born on May 31, 1971, in Poovathoor, Kerala, India, to late Mr. A.E. Thomas and Mrs. Kunjamma Thomas of the Mannakunnil, Earannoor, family.
He was the second of three children and, from a very young age, was known for his kindness, cheerful spirit, and willingness to help others. Whether among family, friends, or within the wider community, Binu consistently brought warmth and encouragement to those around him. His heart for serving Christ and His Church was evident early in life. He was an active member of the CSI Madhya Kerala Youth Movement and took part in various public service efforts in Kerala, always seeking to help the less fortunate—often quietly, selflessly, and without recognition. Through these acts of love and service, he touched many lives.
Binu carried these same values with him throughout his life’s journey. In his late twenties, he migrated to Qatar, and later, in his thirties, to the United States, where he continued his work and pursuits as an electrician. No matter where life took him, his faith, humility, and servant-hearted nature remained unchanged.
In 2001, he married Shaini, and together they were blessed with two sons, Nevin Binu and Kevin Binu. In the United States, Binu lived and worked in Florida and Dallas before eventually settling in Houston, Texas. In every place he called home, he remained deeply committed to serving the CSI Church and supporting the wider community with sincerity and joy.
Binu Thomas will be fondly remembered for his friendly smile, approachable nature, and unwavering willingness to serve others. Most recently, he was actively serving as Warden on the Executive Board of St. Thomas CSI Church of Greater Houston, faithfully carrying out his responsibilities with dedication and grace.
He is survived by his wife, Shaini Thomas; his sons, Nevin Binu and Kevin Binu; his mother, Kunjamma Thomas; his brother, Sunil Thomas; his sister Shuba Thomas.
Though his love, care, and presence will be deeply missed, we find comfort and peace in the blessed hope that we will meet again on that beautiful shore.
