Mr. Billy Joe Clemmons' Obituary
Billy J. Clemmons, 85, from San Leon, TX entered into rest on July 25, 2017. He was born on August 13, 1931 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Arthur James and Myrtle Dovie Clemmons. The Clemmons family moved to So. Houston, TX in 1935 and La Porte, TX in 1941.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Charlie Clemmons, his sisters; Marguerite Eileen McDowell, Naomi Ruth Saunders and niece Myrtie Lou Coats.
Bill is survived by his children Bily J. Clemmons Jr., Carolyn Kay Hancock, grandchildren; Katrina Clemmons, Billy J. Clemmons III, Andrew Clemmons, Micah Clemmons, great grandchildren; April and Josiah Salamanca, Celeste Moreno, William and Alexis Clemmons, his siblings; James Joseph Clemmons (Doris), Jannie Marie Arnold, Helvis Louise Boozer, Martha Ann Hudson.
Bill graduated from La Porte High School. He was a hard worker and worked most of his life as an Master Electrician. He was a strict but loving father and thus earned the love and respect of his children and nieces. In his younger years he enjoyed bull riding, riding his motorcycle, horseback riding, fishing and especially playing Bluegrass music with his band member and friends. He loved his children and family and very much enjoyed being surrounded by all his family at family gatherings. He will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p .m.-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at SouthPark Funeral Home. A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held at 1:30 p.m., August 2, 2017 with Mr. Nephtali (Nick) Franco officiating. Interment to follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
