Betty Mae McKinney's Obituary
Betty Mae McKinney age 93, of Pearland, TX passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at HCA Houston Healthcare. She was born July 16,1930 in Virden, IL the daughter of William "Bill" and Elizabeth "Betty" nee Coble McKinney, Sr. She is survived by one nephew Greg (Kari) McKinney of Carlinville, IL, Colleen (Russ) Reynolds of Carlinville, IL Brenda (Bill) Willis Of Rangely, CO, Lisa (Ty) Langham of Greenville, IL, Beth Scott, Melinda Middleton both of Carlinville, IL, Shelia (Chuck) Brozman of Romeoville, IL, Anna Mitchell of Lyons, IL and Sue Bresley of Steward, IL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Clarence (Gene) McKinney, and William ('Bill") McKinney, Jr, two sisters Sylvia Brkjlacich and Edith Washicko. Betty retired from the University Of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX after 27 years of service. She started her career as a HistoTechnologist and later became Assistant Chief in the frozen section lab and was also a Clinical Instructor. She received numerous awards dedicated to the ideals of Care, Control and Prevention of Cancer. Private services will be held at SouthPark funeral home in Pearland. Memorials may be made to University Of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
