Betty Lou Evans' Obituary
Betty Lou Evans, 96, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025 surrounded by her two sons, Tony and Danny.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 2:00pm at Clear Lake Presbyterian Church, 1511 El Dorado Blvd., Houston, TX. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Southpark Funeral Home in Pearland, TX.
Betty was in born in Hamlin, Texas. She graduated from Ballinger High School in 1946 where she was in the band & played basketball. Betty was married to Robert Evans on June 4, 1948. The couple moved to Midland, Texas were all three children were born and then the family relocated to Houston.
Betty was a homemaker in her early years as the three children grew up. Later she was
employed by a home builder and then worked 25 years for Spartan Paint and Color Company.
Betty was a faithful member of The Genoa Methodist Church and in her later years the
Cokesbury Methodist Church. She would drive all her friends to church for many years until she could no longer safely drive.
Betty is survived by her children, Tony Evans & wife, Cheryl and Danny Evans & wife, Angela.
She is also survived by her grandsons Nathan Diehl and Cory Arrington.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Mable & O.G. Morrison, husband of 46 years, Robert
Evans, daughter, Carolyn Evans, grandson, Bryan Evans, sister, Janie Perkins.
Betty loved sports, especially her Astros. She loved her kids, her family & friends, especially her Friendly Folk group at her church. She loved chicken fried steak!
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Clear Lake Presbyterian Church or Breakthrough T1D, formerly Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
