Bertha Sandoval Guidry born October 31, 1947, in Tienditas, Texas to Adolfo and Elvira Sandoval passed away on August 5, 2022, at the age of 74 in Dickinson, Texas.
Bertha retired after a 32-year career with the United States Post Office. Bertha had a zest for life, she loved God, her family, and friends. And was a huge fan of the Houston Astros! She had a very special place in her heart for her two grandsons, Mark Jr. and Ernest. She enjoyed traveling and the weekly events with her senior center friends. She was kind-hearted, generous, and loved by all who came into contact with her. If you had the pleasure of meeting her, she left a mark in your life with her bright smile and laugh. She was a selfless God-fearing woman who placed others before herself, always being a blessing to each and everyone she met.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Adolfo and Elvira Sandoval; her husband, Lambert "Bo: Guidry; brother, Hector (Elda) Sandoval, and sister, Yolanda Alvarado.
She is survived by her son, Mark Cervantes Sr.; grandsons, Mark Cervantes Jr., and Ernest Anthony Cervantes; brothers: Juan Manuel (Maria) Sandoval of Rockport, Texas; David (Maggie) Sandoval of Kansas City, KS.; and Omar (Connie) Sandoval of San Diego, Texas. Brother-in-law, Manuel Alvarado of San Antonio, Texas. Sister from the heart, Nelda (Ralph) Cervantes of Houston, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
