Mrs. Barbara Ann Walton's Obituary
Barbara Ann (Drumright) Walton of Pearland, Texas, age 68, passed from this life on October 30, 2018. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Ewing (Chad) Drumright and Thelma (Cutrell) Drumright, along with her grandparents, father-in-law, Gerard Ray Walton, brother-in-law, Doug Allen Walton; and many aunts and uncles.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 45 years, Stephen Ray Walton; her children, Brian Walton and spouse, Amy, of Madison, Alabama, Staci Griffin and spouse, Michael, of Pearland, Texas; her grandchildren Luke and Ally Walton of Madison, Alabama; her mother-in-law Dolores Walton of League City, Texas; her brothers, David Drumright and spouse, Joanne, of Brentwood, Tennessee, Richard Drumright and spouse, Jo, of Brentwood, Tennessee; sister-in-law Judy West of Seabrook, Texas; aunts Harriet McHenry, Rosemary Cantrell and Peggy Downing; along with a multitude of nieces and nephews, Michael Yates (Amy), Matthew Drumright, Katie Randolph (Jacob), Will Drumright, Rachel Hinson (Andrew), Kyle West (Rocio), David West, Paula Floyd (Chris), Michael West, Chris Walton (Katie), Kevin Walton (Eva); great-nephews Ryan Yates and Austin Yates; and many cousins from the Drumright and Walton families.
Barbara grew up in Nashville, TN and graduated from Southwestern at Memphis College (now known as Rhodes College) and taught many years as a third and fourth grade teacher at Frazier Elementary in Pasadena ISD until she retired in May 2013. She was a longtime member of Southeast Church of Christ.
Barbara enjoyed spending time traveling throughout the world with her husband and family and they share many fond and funny memories from their time traveling. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren, Luke Walton and Ally Walton.
To honor Barbara’s extraordinary life, Mr. Keith Hardcastle will conduct a service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Southeast Church of Christ. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of service.
