Mrs. Barbara Gene LaDue's Obituary
Barbara Gene LaDue, of Crosby, Texas, at age 70, left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on May 9, 2013. Preceding her in death were her parents, Gene and Thelma Methvin, her husband of 51 years, Johney LaDue and their sons David and Sonny, also her sister Connie Gates. Barbara was known as the "sweetest person". She was eager to help anyone at any time, and always thought the best of everyone. She endured many things throughout her life, including at a young age, the death of her two baby boys. Just 18 months ago, she lost the love of her life Johney, but she always pushed forward, and showed us her enduring strength. She taught us to have faith that "everything will work out, it always does". Barbara carried on the tradition of her mother's enjoyment of baking for her grandchildren; something that will never be forgotten. Before she went to heaven, she gave us a glimpse of what it was like, describing fields and other things. She also gave us reassurance that our loved ones were waiting. At times she was even laughing while talking to them. A peace was given to the family being able to witness this. Barbara is survived by her daughter Teresa Taylor, and husband Greg, son David LaDue and his wife Cindy. Her grandchildren: Amanda Taylor, Brittany Givans and husband David, Cheyanne Brown and husband Pete, Thomas Sober, Johney Sober, Krystal Sober, and Nicholas LaDue and eight great-grandchildren: Peyton, Presley, Braeden, Mallory, Maddie, Ayden, Autumn, and Summer. Also, sister Gail Taylor and husband Tommy, brothers Marvin Methvin and wife Dana, Charles Methvin and wife Lora and niece Rachelle Ressler whom she called her "sorta" (sort of sister, sort of daughter), and many other nieces and nephews.
