Mrs. Barbara Ann Craft's Obituary
Barbara Ann Craft passed peacefully at Houston Hospice on Thursday, January 16, 2020. She was born on June 24, 1939, in Houston, Texas to Arnold and Gladys Brock. At the young age of 16, Barbara met the love of her life on a double date and eloped with Estel Craft shortly thereafter. They were residents of Beverly Hills for over 30 years and members of Cokesbury United Methodist Church. Estel and Barbara opened and operated a successful automotive repair business in 1974; Craft's Car Center is still family owned and operated by their grandson, Arnold Craft Jr.
After raising their four children, Barbara and Estel retired to Bayou Vista to enjoy their golden years. Notwithstanding time spent with the grandchildren and great grandchildren, Barbara loved not only fishing trips but also road trips which almost always seemed to include her favorite slot machines at the Grand Casino Coushatta! Barbara also loved her church family at Arcadia First Baptist of Santa Fe. She was a longtime friend of Bill W's and was never too proud to share "her story" in hopes of encouraging others.
Barbara Ann Craft is proceeded in death by the love of her life, Estel Eugene Craft, her son Arnold Wayne Craft, her sister Betty Lou Caudle, and her granddaughter Alicia Nicole Craft.
She is survived by her son, Estel Craft Jr., daughters Kim Pavlovsky (Jonathan), Sonja McClellan (Matthew) and daughter-in-law Mary Craft. Of course, keeping joy in her heart to the very end were her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Joshua McClellan, Arnie Craft Jr., Kourtney Neubauer-Ross (Brian), Estel Craft III, Jeremy McClellan, Amy Craft, Faith Ann McFall (Mackie), and her loving great grandson, Andrew Neubauer-Ross.
