Barbara Lee Barschow's Obituary
Barbara Lee Barschow (Dutney), 83, of Pearland Texas, passed away on November 28, 2023, peacefully at home.
The funeral service will be held at 10 am on December 19, 2023, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Pearland, TX. Father Luis Garcia of St. Helen’s Catholic Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held December 18, 2023, from 5 pm – 7 pm at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, TX. Burial will follow the funeral mass at South Park Cemetery on December 19, 2023.
Barbara was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on July 12, 1940. She graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Barbara spent her entire career as an RN working in hospitals, nursing homes and finished her career working with the local Dr.’s practice. Barbara was dedicated to her family most of all, taking care of everyone around her, her entire life. Although Barbara passed away in Pearland, Texas close to her children she spent the majority of her adult life in Avon Lake, Ohio where she leaves behind many friends and family.
Barbara was married to Clifford “Mike” Barschow on June 13, 1964. They would have celebrated their 60th anniversary this coming June.
Barbara is survived by her husband Mike, her sisters Sally Powers and Lynn Dutney, her Children Jean McLean (Rob), Shelly Dyer (Mike) and Mike Barschow(Holly), her Grandchildren Sean McLean (Sara), Kyle McLean, Justin Barschow, Brandon Dyer, Nicholas Barschow and Ryan Rash (Sam), her Great-grandchildren Connor, Brady and Logan.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Jean (Stein) Dutney, sisters Elizabeth Wagner, Patricia Stowell, Donna Gossman and brother-in-law John Powers.
