Audrey Mae Nelson's Obituary
Audrey Nelson was born on May 18, 1934 in William Penn, Texas.
She was a Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother.
Audrey graduated from Brenham High school & attended business school in Austin, Texas where she met her husband Raymond L. Nelson. Audrey and Ray married 3/31/1956 and were married for 48 years when Ray passed away. Audrey and Ray were active members of the Pearland Church of Christ. Audrey remained active in the church until she moved to assisted living in January 2020.
Audrey's greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was know for her excellent cooking and loved making a wide assortment of candy and cookies. Audrey loved working outdoors in her flowerbeds and garden. She made pickles, jelly & cobblers from many of the vegetables she grew.
In addition, she enjoyed painting, sewing and a variety of other crafts.
Audrey is survived by: son and daughter in law Stan & Karen Nelson daughter and son in law Debbie & Doug Ellis daughter and son in law Susan & Steve Harvey son and daughter in law Tim & Sharon Nelson, and Grandchildren, Amanda and Husband Blake McMordie, Kyle and wife Brittany Harvey Gabriel Nelson and Megan Andrew and wife Shelby Nelson, Rebeca Ellis, Jefferson Ellis ZacharyEllis, Kevin and wife Megan Harvey, Hailey Nelson, Josef Nelson and Great Grandchildren Royce, Isaac Levi, Charlotte and Austen
