Armando Cortez Jr.'s Obituary
Armando Cortez Jr. (Guero), passed away on May 29, 2023 and is now heading home to join his loving Mom, Lydia Gomez and to meet our Heavenly Father. Armando was born on April 29, 1985 in Houston, Texas to Lydia Gomez and Armando Cortez Sr. who predeceased him.
Armando is also predeceased by his brother Michael Cortez and his loving grandmother Margarita Cortez. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his stepfather Ricardo Garza, his brother, Marcelino Delgado and sister-in-law Esmeralda, along with his nieces and nephews, Renita, Marcelino, Michael, Anthony, Jordan and Denise. He also leaves behind uncles, aunts and cousins.
Armando was a person like no other. He was a friend to so many people and very close to many of his friends “Guero’s Angels”. He was loved by everyone. He could make you laugh, he could be your best friend and at times get after you like a brother. He was also a great employee. He will be deeply missed by so many. The family extends their thanks to all that have touched our hearts at this time with all your help and assistance in getting us through our grievance.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Armando’s Life at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main Street, Pearland, Texas 77581 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary being held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9th, 2023 mass will be at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, 10727 Hartsook St., Houston, Texas 77034 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Doors will open at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow to South Park Funeral Home. Reception following interment is being held at the Royal Palace Banquet, 9944 Kleckley Dr., Houston, Texas 77075.
