Mrs. Arlene C. Johnson's Obituary
Arlene C. Johnson of Pasadena, TX passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6 2013 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.
Arlene was born on November 17, 1933 in Jefferson, IA to Cleo and Berdine Wright, the eldest of four children. After graduating from Jefferson High School she attended Business school.
Arlene married the love of her life, Marvin L. Johnson, Feb. 14, 1964. They began their life together in Gowrie, IA. They relocated to Pasadena, TX in 1979.
She held Administrative Assistant and Accounting positions with many companies over the years, such as University of Iowa, Hormel Local 31, Pennzoil to name a few. After retirement she volunteered in the Pasadena School District reading program.
She enjoyed traveling within the United States, golf, bowling and spending time with her family.
Arlene loved to visit and rarely met a stranger, striking up conversations everywhere. She was preceded in death by her parents, her younger brother, her husband Marvin, and her son Billy.
She will be lovingly missed by daughters, Kathy ( Michael Hollon), Connie (Val Scroggins), Cindy (Steve Lilly), Ann ( Mohamed Temnati). Eight grandsons and their families, 6 great grandchildren, her sisters Rita Peterson and Betty Jo Blackburn (Larry), sister in laws Diane Wright and Doris Culver (Larry) and their families.
