Mrs. Arlene Henning's Obituary
Arlene Mae Henning, 87, was born on November 23, 1926 to Fred and Freida Grauerholz in Athol, Kansas. She went to be with her Lord on August 12, 2014 in Pearland, TX.
Arlene worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for over 40 years combined, retiring in 1986. One of her greatest achievement was an acting Founding Charter Member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Pearland in 2005, now known as "New Life Lutheran Church". She was a member of Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and active in the monthly Senior Luncheons and Quilting Group. Her greatest passion was volunteering for various missions of saving and changing lives of others.
Arlene is preceded in death by her husband, Forest Lee "Red" Henning and son, Ricky Lee Henning. She leaves behind her daughter, Vicki L. Roesler and husband, Billy R.; siblings, Orville Grauerholz and wife, Doris; nieces and nephews, Gary Grauerholz and fiance, Haydee, Gayle Minton and husband, Keeper, Terry Dinnwiddie and husband, Bill, Ray Schrieber, Greg Henning and wife, Fran and Glen Henning and wife, Cindy.
A special "Thank you" to Ann Watson for the continuous love and support she has provided thoughout the years from childhood to the present, along with the love of her son, Arnold Watson and his wife, Shannon, sons, Noah and Jackson. Pets, Lexi and Lacey for their love for their Grandma, Arlene.
A Gathering of friends and family will be held from 5pm to 8pm, Friday, August 15, 2014 at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland, TX. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10am, Saturday, August 16, 2014 at The Chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home with internment to follow.
