Oscar Caballero
Born on October 15, 1931 in Maxwell, Texas.
Where he lived until 5 years old. His parents were Arcadio Caballero and Maria Hernandez. And he was the 4th of 5 children.
He retired in 1954 from the US Army after serving for 2 years in the Korean War. He earned 4 Service Medals including Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, National Defense Service Medal, and a United Nations Service Medal.
He was married to Margarita Valles on August 27, 1950 until her time of death on May 5, 2013.
His most cherished events were working as an Appliance Repairman. He operated his own business, Oscar's Appliance Service, for over 15 years to then proudly working for several more years as the Maytag Man. He retired in 2007.
Oscar was an avid fan of classic country music, going to Coushata Casino, eating fried shrimp, and a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan!
How would they want the atmosphere of the service to be? (Reflective, Celebratory, Religious, etc.). Oscar would want his loved ones to rejoice for he lived a long fulfilling life. He was at peace at the end looking forward to seeing his beautiful “love of his life” and daughter once again.
He joins both his parents, wife Margarita, daughter Vera, his sisters Eloisa and Cruz, a his brothers Paul and Abel in heaven.
He is survived by his 5 daughters - Diana, Gloria, Annette, Cathy, and Margie. He also leaves a legacy of 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
