Mrs. Ann "AROD" Rodriguez's Obituary
Mable Ann Rodriguez (Ann), 72 years of age of Deer Park, TX. surrounded by family, went to be with the Lord above and start the next phase of her life in heaven on Sunday, February 8, 2015. She was born in Morgan City, LA. on January 11, 1943. After graduating from Franklin High School, she joined the Army and became a Medical Lab. Technician. After serving in the Army, she had a daughter, Robin and moved to Alaska where she spent many years roughing it the pioneer way before moving to Texas in the 70’s where she resided and called home. She worked 20 years at San Jacinto College as a Communications Specialist and soon met the love of her life and married Salvador Rodriguez. She furthered her education by graduating from San Jacinto College with her Associates Degree. Sal and Ann enjoyed spending time with their two grandchildren, Ariel and Marshall Gladden and spent many wonderful years together laughing, loving, traveling while being dedicated to their Mormon religion. Later in life, she retired from San Jacinto College and spent her golden years in both Baytown and most recently Deer Park, Texas. She had a deep love for sewing and making baby blankets and dog bone pillows for everyone she met! She always dressed to bedazzle and had that wonder smile and beautiful blue eyes that would light up a room. She was an amazing person and will be missed dearly by all that knew her.
She is survived by daughter Robin L. Gladden, husband Skip Gladden and two grandchildren Ariel Lynn and Marshall John Gladden, Sisters Goldie Hay and husband David, Winnie Chauvin, Jill Bodin and husband Paul, Brother Winfield Theriot and wife Darlene. She is survived by nieces and nephews including Bobby Chauvin, Skye and Pierce Bodin, Bridget and Blake Hay that were all very close and loved by her. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Salvador Rodriguez, mother Myrtle Theriot and father Paul Dozar.
Services will be held as follows: Viewing at South Park Funeral Home, Pearland, TX. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 between 5-8 PM. Funeral Services to be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4202 Yellowstone Drive, Pasadena, TX. 77504 on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 12-1 immediately followed by a procession to South Park Funeral Home for the Graveside and Honorable Veterans ceremony.
