Ann Wygant Gammon
October 27, 1938 – June 28, 2023
Ann L Gammon, 84 of Houston Texas went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2023. It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Ann, our loving and devoted mother. Ann was born October 27, 1938 to Robert G. and Ruby L. Funk in Houston Texas. She attended St. Agnes Academy, graduating in 1956. She is preceded in death by her former husbands Philip Wygant and Sampson Gammon. She is also preceded in death by her parents Robert Funk and Ruby Funk as well as her siblings Gerard Funk and Richard Funk.
Ann was the mother of six children, eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She always made time for everyone, providing support and love for her family. Ann is survived by her children, Michael Wygant, Chris Wygant, Mark Wygant (Jerri), Charlotte Goodrum (Richard), Anne Wygant, and Jennifer Cando (Carlos). She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Rachel Hickman (Andy), Ashley Smith (Paul), Michael Goodrum (Kaycee), Brittney Webster, Kevin Colson, Danielle Luke (Jason), Sarah Porter, Anthony Jorgenson, Hannah Kimes, Stephen Kimes, Zoe Goodrum, Thea Goodrum, and Jasper Scroggins.
Ann enjoyed gardening, music and spending time with her family. Holidays and special occasions were always cherished times. Ann was a devout Catholic, raising her children into the Catholic faith. She Received her accounting degree through the Houston Community College. Throughout her life, she worked for Southwestern Bell, Fox Photo, Schepp’s Grocery and Oshman’s Sporting Goods.
