Ana Maria Higginbotham's Obituary
Ana Maria Higginbotham was born on Morning Glory Saturday 1949 in Utuado, Puerto Rico and was the first of six children of Juan Medina and Emelia Martinez Rodriguez. After attending Catholic Parochial schools, she met and married Jerry Cooper Sr. in 1967. From that union, Ana was the loving mother of three great children, Daughters Madeline Munoz and Jobi Gardiner, and son Jerry Cooper Jr. Ana was also Grandmother to eight grandchildren with great-grandchildren that are too numerous to count.
In April of 1991, Ana met the person with whom she would spend the rest of her live with. Ana met Chris at her place of employment, he while working the graveyard shift and her working the day shift. Their shifts overlapped by 30 minutes and during that common time together, they learned about each other and from the time of their first official date in December 1991, they began a relationship that lasted for over 30 years.
On May the 7th of 1993, Ana took Chris’ hand in marriage and from that date on they were an inseparable couple. After they were married, Ana retired from working and spent the remainder of her days being a loving wife and caregiver to her beloved Chihuahuas.
She is Loved and will be missed by all that knew her.
Rest in Peace “Mama”
