In Loving Memory of Amy B. Volgamore August 12, 1920--September 14, 2011
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Amy and V.E. Richardson, she spent her early childhood in Chattanooga, Tennessee and moved to Houston in 1939, graduating from San Jacinto High and Massey Business College. Career: She was the first woman to be employed at Todd Shipyard (Houston) building ships for the WWII effort. She continued in a retail sales career, retiring after an award-winning 25 years at downtown Foley's.
An avid traveler, she loved to be on the go; her favorite destination was New Orleans.
Family: Husbands Frank G. Coppinger, Jr., Ezra Raymond Johnson and MAJ Paul I. Volgamore. Children/Grandchildren: Linda Medellin, Emil Medellin; Marilyn Goff, husband Dewey Goff, Jr.
Brothers: Victor Richardson, George Lochridge (deceased)
Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends
Visitation 24 September: 2-3PM
Funeral Service: 3-4PM
Internment at a later date: Houston National Cemetery (with husband Paul)
